We've just listed the main STEM-related clubs down below, but there are many more clubs for you to explore other interests!!!
Methacton High School USA Biology Olympiad:
Environmental Club:
The Environmental Club educates students on how they can help the environment and hosts fundraisers to raise awareness for environmental issues. It also maintains Methacton’s pond, greenhouse, and recycling in addition to participating in other activities that benefit the community. Girls Who Code:
Girls Who Code is a club aiming to encourage young girls to embrace their interests in STEM by teaching them about STEM topics and fundraising. No additional coding, volunteering, or STEM experience is required to be a part of this club. If you have any questions or concerns, email the club's email: mhsgirlswhocode@gmail.com.
HOSA:
HOSA, which stands for Health Occupations Students of America, is a club for future health care professionals that will participate in the HOSA Competitive Events Program. Students study for an exam in the spring and fundraise throughout the school year. The club aims to promote health care careers and the quality of health care to people. Medicine and Science Club:
The Medicine and Science Club is an organization for high school to be exposed to various fields of medicine and science through fundraising and learning from people who pursue careers in STEM. Besides our infamous guest speakers, the Medicine and Science Club is a great introduction for anyone who is curious and/or interested in the field of STEM, and by providing members with a variety of opportunities, it is a great way for you to explore more of your interests and even discover what you might not like! Methacton Electric Car Club:
The Methacton Electric Car Club has an overall mission to educate the community about sustainable energy by maintaining a car’s technology and efficiency with eco-friendly alternatives. The club has been running since 2001 and displaying their work at several events throughout this time. For any questions, please email Mr. Savitz (ssavitz@methacton.org).
Robotics Club:
Students in the Robotics Club should have an interest in computer programming and engineering. Robotics is fun and challenging but it is also demanding and expensive. It takes a long time to design and build a good, competitive robot. The club focuses on building robots for regional and state competitions. TEAMS:
The TEAMS club is for students who want to advance their knowledge in STEM and solve real world challenges with science and math skills. The club participates in the annual TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science) competition, which involves working collaboratively in order to solve engineering challenges.
